“That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well” - Abraham Lincoln
What is it? The Leadership Recognition Ceremony is an annual celebration of leadership at UT Arlington. It is an opportunity to honor the outstanding student leaders, organizations and advisors in our community. The outstanding student leader awards include scholarship funds of varying amounts.
When & Where? The Ceremony takes place the last week of April at 6:30 pm in the Bluebonnet Ballroom in the Hereford University Center. The ceremony is immediately followed by a reception. Who should attend? All students, their families, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Students involved in student organizations often come to support their friends and peers who are nominated. Families of nominated students come to witness their student being honored. Faculty and staff who are nominated themselves or who have nominated or mentored students who are leading the way at UT Arlington, come to celebrate their achievements. The Vice President of Student Affairs will be on hand to congratulate all of the nominated student leaders, faculty and staff. Dress: Everyone is encouraged to dress in professional business attire.
